Local businesses and home businesses are suffering. COVID forced many to close up. We're strong supporters of local mom and pop businesses. Next is online small businesses. When you buy from mega-corporations you're just making them richer. They're rich enough and don't need the money, but small businesses do need the sales. When you purchase from a small business it's helping them support their kids and create opportunities for their families like dance classes and sports.

Losing small & medium locally owned businesses will be disastrous to the economy and society so we all need to support small/medium family owned businesses! It may cost you a bit more to buy locally, but if we lose our small/medium businesses the price we'll all pay will be significantly greater.

About Us:

We are Brad and Laura. First, we'd like to welcome you. 

We've been together for 25 years now and have one of those incredible relationships everyone admires. Even after 25 years of both of us working out of the home, we share a very deep love for each other. We both feel so blessed to have found each other.

Maybe it's because of our amazing relationship filled with so much love that our "I Love YOU" Collection (coming soon) is one of our favorite collections here. Expressing your love to that special person in your life creates moments which last a lifetime.

This is just one of many collections we will be offering.

Between us we have 5 adult children and 10 grand kids. We absolutely love our family and our many family get-together's throughout the year. We are raising 2 of our grand kids. Yes, they keep us young.

Brad has been a business owner since 1985, way before the internet was created. He's always maintained an extremely high level of customer satisfaction because he takes business very seriously and knows that the only reason a business will succeed is because of taking exceptional care of the clients and providing excellent products.

With Statement Making Products we are bringing Brad's 38 years of business experience with us. Laura brings her incredible organizational skills and incredible taste in statement making products.

We're Very Selective Of The Products We Choose To Include...

We really are! Quality of the product is important. There are a lot of low cost gimmicks out there and a lot of cheap crap, none of which we will include here! This is because we are building a business that will have our clients coming back month after month to purchase from us, which will only happen by offering quality products and taking really good care of our clients.

In addition we would hope our clients will share our site and their experience of doing business with us with their family, friends and Facebook friends. This is the greatest way a customer can show their appreciation and acknowledge we're doing a great job of serving them and have products they want others to be aware of.

If you see a really cool product you think friends and family will also like just copy the product detail page URL to a Facebook post on your timeline so your friends and family can see it and quickly jump to the product page.

You should also know, as a standard rule of thumb we don't include any products with less than a 4.0 rating (the high majority are 4.7 and above). Just like you, hearing what other customers of the product have to say about it is important to us.

We have chosen to take a few products on with a lower than 4.5 rating but that's because the majority of the reviews had nothing to do with the product itself. These could be reviews about shipping time, something very personal to the buyer (like bought the wrong size) and things like this.

We include the rating for each product on the product page. If it's not there it's simply because we forgot to add it because of being so busy adding products to our website.

We have access to millions of products via thousands of wholesale stores with each product we add to our store going through a rigorous analysis before we choose to take it on.

Our Products...

The high majority of our products are somebody else's product. These could be products from Amazon, Walmart and many other places. These are products from reputable companies which we just simply recommend to you. We chose to take them on because they fit the collection we wanted to offer, have good reviews and is a product we can stand behind.

By introducing you to the product, if you purchase it from our link we get a small referral fee (otherwise called an affiliate fee/commission). This is how we make money.

So you know, this does not increase the price of the product. Affiliate fees (referral fees) is a very common marketing strategy of these businesses because it gets thousands of people recommending their products to their friends and family. Businesses have found this marketing strategy to be very effective and in most cases less costly to the business than traditional marketing strategies which allows them to keep their costs lower. This is another reason why we support this business model... it keeps prices lower!

We will have some of our own products in the store here. For example, there are sayings we are constantly saying to each other like "I love you forever and day and I want that day." Think about what we're saying to each other when we say, "... and I want that day." It's a way of saying I want eternity with you, even after death! Almost all of our cards to each other is signed with this saying on it.

We'll create t-shirts, cups and other things with this saying on it. What a beautiful way of telling the love of your life just how much you love him/her. And then the product will be shipped directly to you from the company we go through to create these products. This is called a "print on demand" product.

You could even add "Established [year]" to show when your love and commitment began so it's personalized to you. Or you could start it out with their name, "[Name], I love you forever and a day and I want that day." Personalized items are very impactful.

The end conclusion is you have a website focused on different "collections" with products from numerous companies allowing you to save time and find the perfect product to make that bold statement. We'll have numerous collections. We'll even have political products for both sides.

For your information, our stores are non-political and will never take a side. We're not political pundits, we're a small business and our ONLY purpose is to provide great products backed with great service and help you make that bold statement you want to make to your friends and family. There's no place for politics in business, which any good marketer will tell you.

Shipping Time...

Shipping time is a key factor when purchasing a product for many people. For example, if you're looking for a valentines gift for your loved one and you procrastinated you need the product to arrive quickly.

We'll have products from many different companies. You know how Amazon and Walmart work so if the product is from one of these companies you know what to expect, not to mention they tell you the shipping time right on the product page.

Most companies we work with will tell you the shipping time right on the product page. 

When you go to another companies website like Amazon and order from them, the shipping is completely out of our hands. The purchase and transaction is between you and that company. If the product doesn't work out, if you need to do a refund, again this is between you and the company you ordered the product from. Each have their own individual policies on shipping, refunds, etc. We have no say or control in this.

Products that are ours you'll see a sticker, "An exclusive Statement Making Product" to show it's our product and only available through our website. These products we will have input and control over things and will do our best to make sure your needs are met. We take customer service very seriously! We'll also put the delivery time on the product page.

We purposely and intentionally avoid China business where products come from China! In our very first eCommerce store we offered some of these products and even though the prices were less than Amazon for the same product customers hated the 2-4 week delivery time so we stopped offering any products that were shipped from China and only do business with companies in the U.S. or who have a warehouse in the U.S.

So you know, there are a lot of businesses who use Amazon as their ecommerce platform and sell products that come from China. We generally have no idea they're products from China when ordering from Amazon. But with Amazon to be part of their Prime program they're required to ship hundreds of their products to an Amazon warehouse so it's Amazon taking care of the shipping which is how you get the product so quickly.

Holiday orders can increase the time due to the amount of mail with the different mailing services and the magnitude of orders.

We would ask you to plan appropriately when you need a product by a specific date and allow a little leeway for things beyond our control like the weather, for example.

We Have Access To Millions Of Products & Thousands Of Stores and Wholesale Stores

It's crazy cool all of the products we have available.  We have access to millions of products and thousands of wholesales stores and retail stores. Generally how we start reviewing products is by looking for a specific product for a collection. We'll review the price, reviews, delivery time and other key factors. The one with the best overall factors is the one we'll take on.

There's not much we can't find or can't include in our store.

The Type Of Products We'll Be Carrying...

What we'll add to our store will be based upon specific "collections" we showcasing. For example, in our "I Love... Collection" we'll include products to show your love to someone special in your life.

We have two product sites:  https://www.practicalandfunproducts.com/ (PaFP) and https://www.statementmakingproducts.com/ (SMP). Each serves a specific purpose.

At PaFP our focus is on products to make your everyday living easier and better. Like we're doing with SMP, PaFP will be built based upon collections. Collections can best be described as products for a specific category.

This could include products for the Outdoors Man, great products for the Kitchen, etc. We'll create collections for categories we feel will best serve our clients.

Don't be surprised if we throw a few other products in our store just solely because we think it's a great product or is focused around a holiday or event. This is true for both of our stores.

We also want to include fun products because we all also need to have fun.

At SMP it's all about making a bold statement like telling someone you love them or that you're sorry.

Products here are meant to invoke an emotion. We all have things we stand for and are passionate about, and we have people in our lives who are very important to us and we want to let them know how we feel about them.

Common themes are messages of love to your spouse, your children, your parents, grand-parents, and grand-children. We're excited about this because it'll give you a little insight to things we do to keep our love for each other so strong. A lot of the items will be new and unique. 

We will also have products that could be considered controversial. Trump, for example, evokes all kinds of emotions, both positive and negative. It would make sense we'd include Trump products because of this. Remember, the name of the site is Statement Making Products. 

We truly hope you like the products we'll be offering at both sites. We know you'll appreciate our attention to the details and the level of customer service we offer.

Removing Products From Our Store...

Products that don't sell or are low sellers will be removed from the store. We will only provide products that our clients have an interest in. While we may think a product would be of interest to a lot of people the number of purchases of a product lets us know if we have a product with mass appeal or not.

Therefore, if you see a product you believe your friends and family would like email them a link to the product or share a link to the product on your Facebook feed. Just like in our offline business we only provide products that are of interest to consumers. Any product could be removed due to low sales. 

We've already received emails from people asking about a product they've seen on our site that is no longer available. Generally, once we remove a product it's removed forever, and considering our products are unique and not products you'll typically find locally at a general store if you don't purchase them when you run across them in our store you may miss out on that product all together.
